Why can't I talk to girls?

Question by dacninja_1: Why can't I talk to girls?
Basically, I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I'm currently at college and am pretty much a full-time athlete (runner). Every time I pass a girl in the college corridor(s), I'm too scared to say anything to them (such as that I'm interested in them or to ask them if they have a boyfriend etc). I literally lock-up mentally and never have the courage to say anything to them in case she rejects me.
