Physics Universal Gravitation Please Help?
On a distant planet, the acceleration due to gravity is 11.60 m/s^2, and the radius is 4488 km. Use the law of gravitation to find the mass of this planet.
I put this into F=(Gm1m2)/r^2
but I got 3.5 x 10^12
and that was wrong.
Please Help?
Best answer:
Answer by Paul BFor falling object mass m, force = GmM/r^2 and acceleration = GM/r^2
You need r in m, and should get M in
