34 years to life for fatal wreck
Conviction was third strike for local man, 40 A Crescent City man was handed a 34 years to life sentence Thursday in connection with the death of a local woman in a car wreck. The sentencing came four weeks after a jury convicted Michael D. Jones, 40, of vehicular manslaughter. Jolynda Peters, 29, died in the November 2008 crash on Parkway Drive. She was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Jones.
